Does anyone know the source material for this model? I see hundreds of them uploaded. This has to be coming from some college book, right? I really want to see what these kids are learning from this model because it is terrible...No offense to them, as they are all clearly following the same instructions to CAD this. Some have taken it upon themselves to say they "developed" it, but kids chasing fake clout on the internet isn't anything new...
that's a very good question. it amazes me how that many different people can come up with the SAME exact design and claim it is their design.
especially if you look at REAL life V-6 twin-turbo engines, they look nothing like the CAD models that show up here....just sayin...
Hello everyone, these models may not be identical to reality, but they can be used in games and videos.
They are all great.
Hey guys, without the hands-on guidance of mentors, one can learn the main structure of an engine more quickly by roughly sketching out the functional areas. However, those detailed parts or reasonable feasibility verification require several years of practice after graduation to truly become an expert in the field of engines.
Hi Steven,
Appreciate you bringing this up. I can see my model there. You're right that many of us students use similar instructions or references in learning CAD modeling — particularly where it forms part of course or training. The V6 engine model is widely used as a study project to improve my designing, assembly, mates, and part modeling.
With that out of the way, I appreciate your concern with quality and originality. Personally, I submitted mine as part of learning, not with any pretentious claim to innovation. I'd very much appreciate any particular feedback you might have about areas of improvement in the model — I'm always eager to improve and learn from experienced practitioners such as yourself.
