This widely accessed video from the excellent Form Trends website shows in a very understandable and didactic way the various stages of the process of creating and manufacturing a car. Although the term "transportation design" covers trains, speedboats, yachts, balloons, planes, helicopters, buses, subways, buggy, tricycles, flying cars, motorcycles and even aircraft that look like UFOs... the car remains a kind of fetish that we inherited from 20th century car-centric culture. But I think when the fully autonomous electric car level 5 arrives that fetish will be more forgotten although this experience may be more interesting than that of the past.
