How to convert solidwork file to universal format

I need to work the model in all design softwares

Save it as .STEP. This format can use with many software. I think there is no any universal file format . But u can share file using "http://grabcad.com/workbench" with any format.

or you can save as iges files

Use step. It comes over much cleaner than Iges.
