convert files into solidwork format
i recently downloaded some part in stl format and i was unable to measure it.i used option feature in open.and then select stl.but it only helped me to measure edges.i want to measure a cylinder hole.then i convert that i file to stp and again opened and find that i can edit some feature used in part.
i want to know that is there any other method by which i can see more feature.

You could open the files in solidworks and then save them as a step file which will allow you to edit them.However depending on what you wan to do it may be difficult to delete parts from that model ,but you can add to it as much as you need.
