I am familiar with CATIA V5 for design and surfacing work. I recently came across Geomagic Design X and learned that it is widely used for scan-to-CAD workflows. Since I haven’t had hands on experience with Design X yet, I would like to ask the group: For reverse engineering projects, how does Geomagic Design X compare to CATIA V5? Which one do you recommend, and why?

Good question, but you posted in the wrong group. This group is for GrabCAD-specific items


It would be better to post your question in the Geomagic group or the CATIA group.
