Hey all three of you out there. If you are like me, you reuse build platforms quite a bit. They are excellent when new, but lose their "stick" quite fast. Since a box of 16 of these is over $180, it makes sense to use each one as much as you can. I typically rough them up with 120-grid sandpaper after the factory surface is degraded with some success. However, on larger prints, I don't trust this as I've had corners peel up or purge towers fall over.
My colleague runs a Prusa printer and uses this "Bed Weld" adhesive. I tried is out and it even looks to work on QSR. I did a 6" x 4" print and the QSR stuck down to an older sanded build plate noticeably better than with just sanding alone. I haven't tried larger prints or PLA, but so far it seems like quite the addition to the toolbox.
Just thought I'd share something that the rest of the 3D printing world already knows about.
